Earn continuing nursing education contact hours in patient rights
Every patient has the right to be treated with courtesy, respect, dignity, responsiveness and timely attention to health needs. The College Network® has designed it's Patient Rights course to emphasize the importance of a strong relationship between patients and their healthcare providers.
In this course, you will explore how patient rights have changed in the last fifty years, learn to distinguish between the different roles of The Joint Commission and the AMA that ensure the protection of patient rights, understand patients’ core rights, identify the instances when patients’ confidentiality and right to refuse care are not honored, and understand the significant elements that will ensure top quality care.
Patients’ rights are critical to the development of trust between the patient and healthcare providers. Upon completion of this course, you will receive 2.5 continuing nursing education contact hours.
