In this course, you will delve into the concepts behind medication safety, understand why the five rights do not ensure complete safety, identify the bar code medication administration systems needed, explore how medication errors can be prevented, examine the mandatory and voluntary error reporting systems, and review all aspects impacting safe medication delivery.   

Upon completion of this course, you will further understand the critical elements of medication safety essential for patient care. You will also be awarded 2.5 continuing nursing education contact hours.
