It is the mission of Helen Newberry Joy Hospital (HNJH) and Healthcare Center to improve the health status of those it serves by dedicating itself to high-quality, compassionate healthcare and community outreach.
HNJH provides health career scholarships in the amount of $2,500 to students pursuing health care careers. The Hospital serves as a training site through Michigan Works with an average of 11 students per year, and an additional 9 students through Tahquamenon Area Schools Vocational Educational Program. HNJH also provides a number of support and educational programs including: Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue, Healthy Heart Support Group, Diabetes Education Program, Stroke Awareness Program.
